Northern Tier was amazing outdoor experience. We went to the Grand Portage and it was very difficult but being in the outdoor with your fellow troop mates makes it easier and more enjoyable.
I went on a canoe trip as a scout in 1959. We canoed about 125 miles and as I remember we never saw another group after we crossed into Canada. It was one of the best experiences I have ever had.
My trip to Northern Tier Was one of the best times I have ever had in my life, if not the best! I wish I could give it ten stars!
The best I can remember, my troop made this trip in 1967. Found this picture and patch after being packed away and being moved around the world several times after more than 50 years. A real highlight of my teen years!!!! Thanks for the memories and life lessons!!!!!
