Finally a Great place to get an authentic salsa and one of the best enchiladas I've had outside of my own homemade cheesy chicken.... a chef never gives up her/his secrets! Atmosphere is cozy. Staff is very friendly with hometown up-north kind of talk, 'ya betcha! Portions are very big with not very big price attached! I've yet to finish my meal without taking leftovers home!

You get to build your own dish. Lots of great choices! The Chimicunga dish is very good. You get made to order food with fresh ingredients. Good price for the portions you get.
i would come again and try the drinks, the flavors of margaritas sounded very interesting!
On a side note, Once we actually got to order our food, it did come out fairly quick. Maybe it was just a bad night for them, but I guess I won't find out again.

Was not impressed! Came here for supper on 9/23/17 after running the Ely Half Marathon earlier that day. Our first mistake was stepping through the door. When we pulled up there were two people on the side of the building smoking while wearing their kitchen gloves, (I later identified these and the 2 cooks.) We were seated right away and given water and a basket or chips and salsa. Approximately 45 min. later the guy waiter (I believe possibly owner/manager) finally took our order. When we arrived there were only a few other tables. Still not sure why we chose to sit there and wait that long for the waiter to take our orders. During this extremely long wait to order we were never offered more chips/salsa or refills on water. The waiter and waitress that evening were even arguing about who would be our server. We ordered the Chicken Nachos which were actually very good and Chicken Fajiatias which were ok. The refried beans were very dry and the rice just had a different taste than used to... maybe lime juice added to it. My wife ordered some specialty drink with Captain Morgan and she said that was good. I had a Diet Coke and was never offered a refill, (menu stated 1 refill) not sure why they actually limit you to 1 refill when fountain pop is very cheap for them to buy.
Overall I think some of the food is very good, although some things deffinately need some work This review only gets 1 star for the very poor service and rude waiter. I spent 3 years in Ely about 15 years ago at Vermilion Community College with my wife and we go to Ely at least once a year. We were both excited to try this place after seeing the good reviews. We will however not step foot in this establishment again.
Stopped by on our way to Lutse. Excellent lunch with friendly staff. Tomitillo salsa is great and packs a punch. Everyone in our party enjoyed the food. Wil stop again when in the area.
pretty good food! i was a bit skeptical about coming in here because there was literally one other person here, but i am relieved to see this place is actually real good!
