Always wanted to try running sled dogs after my wife told me her family did in the late 70's!
Chilly Dogs is awesome! These Alaskan Huskies are mostly retired from professional races like the Iditarod and Beargrease. At Chilly Dogs they can still have a great life and get to do what they love by taking us novices out to have a fantastic time! You take turns driving your sled and get to sit in a cozy room for hot chocolate and cookies when you get back.
I was really impressed with how organized these trips are. The family that runs Chilly Dogs are very easy to talk to, and give you a thorough run down on what to expect before you head out on the trails. I'd definitely repeat again, and will encourage my friends and family to check them out if they're in the Ely area.
