I have done business with Cliff Wold's over 15 years. I have found them to be helpful in selecting routes and providing guidance as to the best route to take with important information regarding bears or any other issues we might encounter. The food was exceptional. We were a group of 8, proportions were right on with plenty of food for seconds and no one went hungry. The equipment was in great shape and in some cases appeared to be brand new. In my opinion Cliff Wold's is the only outfitter I would ever use for a trip to the Boundary Waters. The prices, route knowledge, food and equipment have made all the trips a memorable experience for all who attended.
Staff was amazing from beginning to end. They were very easy going and adapted to last minute changes. Transportation pickup and drop off times were on time, and they helped make our trip a memorable one.
Ryan kindly accommodated our every need and the equipment he provided was top-notch.
The bunk room, shower, and restrooms were kept clean and fully-stocked with towels, spotless beds, soap, and hot water. When you spend a week or so in the wilderness getting wet and dirty, all you end up wanting is a clean room and bed, a hot shower, fresh coffee, and dry towels. All of that is provided there.
Great experience with Cliff Wold's from start to finish. My wife, son, and I went canoeing for three days and purchased the complete outfitting package. I am use to packing my own trips. However, having everything packed was very convenient and made the trip worry free. All the gear was in good, clean condition and the canoe was in great condition. Ryan and John were great and answered all the questions we had. They even pulled us out a day early on short notice, due to weather. I would highly recommend this outfitting company to anyone interested and I will use their services agian in the future.
